The sights and sounds will certainly bombard you as you take a leisurely stroll through VPCI’s Arts Festival.

Last year, the Arts Council held this festival to celebrate the arts at VP, and due to its incredible success, the tradition continues. It is an encouraging and creative festival, which displays various pieces of artwork. There is no doubt that there is something eye-catching for everyone. Not to mention that this event is much like any art gallery opening. If you see a work that you simply cannot resist looking at, you can purchase it, right there and then, with pre-purchased 50-cent tickets.

Students will have the opportunity to visit several booths displaying different types and categories of art such as graffiti or water color painting. Last year’s goal of the festival was to awaken the inner-artist and trying to bring out greater enthusiasm for  the arts. “I went last year and purchased several items – I mean, I feel like an art collector and the paintings I bought just blew me away – either I questioned their design or pondered the purpose laying behind the piece. There is no doubt that I will attend this year and all the years I’m at VP,” says Jolie Wong, a student who attended last year.

“Bring your friends – it is certainly one of the best events of the year,” says a member of the Arts Council at Victoria Park.
