The annual Girls about Girls Sleepover took place on October 16th and 17th. This event provided the Grade 9 girls with an opportunity to extend their circle of friends and to obtain a better grasp of the school’s learning environment, with the help of Grade 10, 11, and 12 girls.

This year’s theme, “Beautiful Me,” strives to embolden girls to express the many facets of themselves and their personalities. It also encourages girls to discover the beauty in each other.

Many fun activities were incorporated to help the girls bond, including a scavenger hunt where girls were given numerous clues and had to work together to find the location that the clues pointed to. Furthermore, the girls held their own fashion show and walked down the catwalk with confidence and glamour.

“The fashion show was personally my favourite because all the girls got to dress up and be unique and have some flare,” said Yajing, a Grade 10 leader helping in this event. As night approached, a movie was played while the girls tucked themselves in their sleeping bags. The girls then slowly drifted to sleep.

The next morning, the girls created a dress of dreams and a mural using their creativity and talent. As Girls about Girls was about to come to an end, many remarked that this event was unforgettable and amazing because it deepened friendships and sparked the beginning of a journey in high school.
